2. Please wait in the "waiting list" holding area until 10 minutes before the event
3. If there is still seating available 10 minutes before the event starts you will be seated
4. If there is no chairs available you are welcome to standing room if available. Otherwise we'll have to send you home with our apologies.

Join Dr. David Boyd for a public lecture on the right to a healthy environment. The evening will feature Dr. Boyd's latest research, plus a discussion with Dr. David Suzuki and Devon Page, the Executive Director of Ecojustice.

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms provides every Canadian with freedom of expression, equal protection from discrimination and the right to life, liberty and security of the person. But it has nothing to say about our right to a healthy environment.

Everyone needs access to clean air, safe water, fertile soil, and nutritious food, to survive and to thrive. The natural environment, made up of complex and diverse ecosystems, provide these most basic needs.

The David Suzuki Foundation and Ecojustice are working together to ensure every Canadian receives legal protection of their right to a healthy environment.  

Please join us as we celebrate the launch of Dr. David Boyd’s new book: The Right to a Healthy Environment. This lecture is the culminating event in a national book tour where we will be connecting with Canadians across the country to talk about environmental rights, and to listen and learn about opportunities to improve protection of environmental rights at municipal, provincial and federal levels.
